We're a fearlessly inquisitive and optimistic group of strategic and creative professionals. We believe that Communications (with a capital "C") are a driving force, an often underutilized, misaligned, and misapplied power in realizing goals... and dreams.

We have rich and diverse experience, coupled with the latest approaches and ahead-of-the-curve talent. We've worked inside and alongside public relations and creative agencies.

We've headed Marketing and Public Relations Departments in complex organizations, and nurtured and grown small Communications teams. We've brought focus and momentum to entrepreneurial organizations and helped rally the team. We're experienced in crossing borders, and building welcome bridges between nonprofit and for-profit.

As Strategic Communications consultants, we work exclusively with individuals, teams, and organizations that want to clarify, develop, and animate their sense of purpose, their voices, and their capacity to be agents of positive social change.

OUR FOUNDER:  Lee Colaluca is the  CEO and CSC (Chief Story Crafter) at beCause Communications. She is a super-strategic MBA Marketing and Communications professional who has led original market research, developed and produced radio, television, digital and print advertising, campaigns, and story narratives. She has built multi-channeled, integrated Communications programs around social issues ranging from healthcare to gender equality and diversity, including an Emmy award-winning PBS-syndicated talk show on children's health. Lee has played  pivotal roles in the growth of major nonprofit brands such as Robert Wood Johnson Academic Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, and EMpower Foundation. She enjoys working at the intersection of for-profit and nonprofit ecosystems, and has a strong background in strategic planning, business development, organizational change management, executive and team coaching, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Lee founded beCause Communications Consulting because everyone she meets, everywhere she goes

(from New York to London, Pittsburgh to LA, Delhi to Hong Kong),

tells her that they are looking for "purpose."

She wants to help people find it. To feel the power of being part of positive social change.

And then to help them share their stories with the world.
